Piazza Tasso

Piazza Tasso is the vibrant heart of Sorrento, where history, culture, and Italian charm come together in a dazzling display of life. Named after the famed poet Torquato Tasso, who was born in Sorrento, this lively square is framed by elegant cafés, grand architecture, and the ever-present hum of passing Vespas. Beneath its modern energy lies a deep connection to the past—here, remnants of Sorrento’s ancient walls and gateways still stand, whispering stories of Greek and Roman influence. As day turns to evening, the golden light bathes the piazza, and the sound of laughter, clinking glasses, and music fills the air, making it a place where past and present merge in perfect harmony.

Marina Grande

Marina Grande, Sorrento’s picturesque old fishing harbor, is a place where history and romance blend seamlessly. Once a bustling Greek and Roman port, this enchanting waterfront has remained a symbol of Sorrento’s deep connection to the sea for centuries. The pastel-hued houses, rustic wooden boats, and family-run trattorias preserve the charm of a bygone era, where fishermen still haul in the day’s catch as they have for generations. Here, beneath the towering cliffs of Sorrento, you can feel the echoes of ancient mariners and poets who were captivated by this breathtaking coastline—just as travelers and lovers are today.

Villa Comunale Park

Villa Comunale di Sorrento is a breathtaking terrace suspended between sky and sea, offering one of the most spectacular views on the Amalfi Coast. Once part of a historic monastery, this serene garden is now a romantic retreat where visitors can gaze out over the endless blue of the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius standing majestically in the distance. Lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and elegant balustrades frame the panorama, making it a perfect spot to soak in Sorrento’s timeless beauty. As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of gold and rose, it’s easy to understand why artists, poets, and lovers have been drawn to this magical place for centuries.
