WHERE TO LOOK

If you want to be close to all the action of Sorrento, look closer to Sorrento City Center. If you want something a little more quiet, look around the wedding venue.

Of course you can look outside this box (including neighboring cities), but anywhere substantially outside the box is most likely a short cab ride into Sorrento.
Additionally, south and west of the dotted box are mountains. You will find extreme inclines and switchbacks the further you go. Keep this in mind as you're looking: the distance may be short, but you could be dealing with extreme elevation changes.
Upper Level vs. Lower Level
Sorrento is uniquely perched on cliffs overlooking the sea, with two main levels: the upper and lower sections.
The upper level is where you'll find the bustling town center, shops, and many restaurants, while the lower level is closer to the marina and beaches.
If you’re staying on the lower level, be prepared for a bit of a climb to reach the upper level! Thankfully, there's a convenient lift that connects the two levels for just one euro, making it easy to go back and forth without the walk. The lift runs through 11pm. More details on the lift here.
If you're booking and don't want the hassle of a lift/walk, make sure the location is on the upper level of Sorrento.
